Institute of Advanced Virology (IAV) is an autonomous institution under Science & Technology Department of Government of Kerala engaged in cutting-edge research initiatives in virology. The Advanced Molecular Diagnostic Facility of the Institute IAV is the public face of the Institute which functions as a referral laboratory for virus diagnostics in the state. The facility has the capacity to diagnose about 88 virus parameters including major emerging virus infections. Institute invites applications from candidates for the following temporary position at its Advanced Molecular Diagnostic Facility

Name of the position Laboratory Manager cum Microbiologist

Educational& other qualifications (i) Post Graduation in Medical Laboratory Technology (Microbiology)/Medical Microbiology/Virology from a recognised university as regular full-time course in the relevant discipline with minimum 60% marks in aggregate.
(ii) Two-year experience in Virology/Microbiology diagnostics laboratory setting of State/ Central Government institutions.
(iii) Documented experience in diagnostic laboratory assays including molecular diagnostics and laboratory safety protocols.
Emoluments (consolidated) ₹ 32,000/- per month

qualifications

Graduation in Medical Laboratory Technology/ Medical Microbiology from a recognized Institute as a regular full-time course in the relevant trade/discipline with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

(i) Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized
Institute as a regular full-time course in the relevant trade/discipline with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
(ii) Two-years work experience in similar position from State/Central Government Laboratory/Hospital/Research Institute
Emoluments (consolidated) ₹ 21,000/- per month
