The Institute of Advanced Virology (IAV) successfully hosted the 8th Molecular Virology Meeting at its campus, a three-day event held from September 18-20, 2025.

The meeting brought together approximately 100 registered participants, including leading virologists, scientists, and scholars from across India. Attendees presented their latest research and engaged in extensive deliberations on various topics in molecular virology. The sessions covered contemporary areas such as monoclonal antibody research, vaccinology, antiviral development, and fundamental studies on virus-host interactions.

A key highlight of the conference was the showcase of IAV's contributions in developing novel bioassays against emerging viruses. This in-person gathering of the country's major virologists is expected to provide a significant boost to ongoing research activities and foster future collaborations in cutting-edge areas of virology.
