Thiruvananthapuram, March 24, 2026 — Dr. A. Jayathilak IAS, the Chief Secretary of Kerala, paid an official visit to the Institute of Advanced Virology (IAV) at the Bio 360 Life Sciences Park today. The visit was aimed at reviewing the progress of the institute’s ongoing research projects and its expanding role in the state's public health infrastructure.

During his visit, the Chief Secretary toured the high-end laboratory facilities, including the BSL-2 and upcoming BSL-3 units. He was briefed by the Director and senior scientists on the latest developments in viral diagnostics and vaccine research, particularly the institute’s recent work as the regional coordinator for the National One Health Programme.
