Thiruvananthapuram, January 26, 2026 — The Institute of Advanced Virology (IAV) joined the nation in celebrating India’s 77th Republic Day with a grand ceremonial event at its campus in Bio 360 Life Sciences Park. The celebration served as a powerful reminder of the country’s democratic values and the vital role of scientific institutions in nation-building. The ceremony commenced with the unfurling of the National Tricolour, followed by a collective rendition of the National Anthem.

Addressing the gathering of scientists, staff, and students, the Director emphasized IAV’s commitment to achieving self-reliance in virology and public health research, contributing to a "Viksit Bharat."

The celebrations concluded with a distribution of sweets and a pledge to uphold the scientific and ethical standards enshrined in the Constitution.
