Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the position of Research Associate/SRF in the CSIR-funded research project entitled “Evaluation and in vivo validation of tryptanthrin analogues as potent lead molecules for malignant melanoma chemotherapy” being carried out in the laboratory of Dr. Ruby John Anto, Molecular Bio Assay Laboratory at Institute of Advanced Virology, Thiruvananthapuram.

Selection Procedure:
•Applications will be initially screened by a screening committee based on the essential eligibility criteria applicable for the position.
•Further shortlisting may be carried out based on the desirable qualifications if the number of shortlisted candidates is found on a higher side.
•The short- listed candidates have to appear for the final selection process as decided by the Institute.

1.Only those candidates fulfilling all the essential qualifications, and qualifying the screening by a duly constituted screening committee will be short-listed for further selection process
2.*Candidates who have submitted PhD thesis are also eligible to apply for Research Associatesship. Selection in such cases will be subject to the condition that PhD viva-voce done & declared qualified for award of PhD/ awarded PhD degree before the expiry of the validity of the offer letter. Or else, the candidate will be considered only for SRF position.
3.The CGPA/Grade to % conversion formula (issued by competent authority) applicable for the degree awarding institution (wherever grading other than % is used) has to be submitted along with the application, if the formula is not already provided in the certificate/mark sheet.
4.Canvassing in any form is not permitted and any interim enquiry will not be entertained.
5.The positon is purely temporary;and selection to the position will not entitle the candidate any claim for future positions at IAV (permanent or otherwise).
