Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the position of SRF/Research Associate (RA) in the CSIR-funded research project entitled “Evaluation and in vivo validation of tryptanthrin analogues as potent lead molecules for malignant melanoma chemotherapy” being carried out in the laboratory of Dr. Ruby John Anto, Molecular Bio Assay Laboratory at Institute of Advanced Virology, Thiruvananthapuram.

Educational& other qualifications 1.For RA’ship, the candidate must have a PhD in Biological Sciences. Candidates who have submitted PhD thesis are also eligible to apply for RA’ ship. Selection in such cases will be subject to the condition that PhD viva-voce done & declared qualified for award of PhD/ awarded PhD degree before the expiry of the validity of the offer letter. Or else, the candidate will be considered only for SRF position.
2.Research experience of at least 3 years as evidenced by a publication in peer review journal other than MSc project work, in the relevant area is required.
3.Experience with animal cell culture and animal handling is essential.
Desirable Experience Experience in in silico studies
Emoluments (consolidated) RA: ₹ 58,000/- + HRA per month.
SRF: ₹ 42,000/- + HRA per month
